Vault's Corporate Mastercard will always try to match the transaction currency with your account currency. If you don't have the transaction currency, we will default back to Canadian dollars.
For example, let's say you try to purchase a 5 USD coffee. We will:
Check your US Dollar account
If you have 5 USD, we will charge your US Dollar account and approve the transaction
If you have less than 5 USD, we will attempt to charge you the currency equivalent in Canadian dollars
If you don't have the 5 USD currency equivalent in your Canadian Dollar account, then we will decline the transaction
Please note, for charges in Canadian dollars, we will not attempt to charge your other currency balances. Meaning, if you want to make a Canadian dollar purchase please ensure you have sufficient Canadian dollars in your account to prevent the transaction from declining.
