The common reasons for being unable to link your bank account are:

  • Linking a non-CAD account (e.g., linking a USD account is not currently supported)

  • Known link issue when connecting with bank systems due to 2-factor authentication (2FA)

How to fix Plaid error?

Kindly link only a CAD account to your Vault account.

How to fix 2FA issue when linking to bank account?

Step 1: Log into your bank account

Step 2: Click on "Profile & Account Settings"

Step 3: Select "Security"

Step 4: Click on "2-step verification"

Step 5: Switch it off temporarily

None of these solutions worked, what else can I do?

If you are unable to link your bank account through the standard process, you can request manual linking by emailing us at support@tryvault.com with the following:

1. Attach your latest 3 months of bank statements.

2. Use "[PAD] Manually Linking Bank Account" as the subject of your email.

Once we receive your email, our team will review your request and get back to you shortly.
