Funds transfers are sent out in real-time. If the status shows as “Pending,” it means the transfer has been sent out from your account and is in transit to the intermediary banks and recipient banks. Here are some possible reasons and what you can do:
Check the processing time
Local payments may take up to 2 business days (excluding holidays).
International payments involve multiple banks and may take longer.
Payments made on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day.
Verify payment details
Ensure you’ve entered the correct recipient bank details.
Wire Transfers (SWIFT) ≠ EFT ≠ ACH – make sure you’re using the correct transfer method.
Allow for intermediary processing
International payments may pass through multiple banks before reaching the recipient.
If you’re still concerned, contact the recipient’s bank for any delays.
